“We encourage all Chamber members to participate in Paint the Town Red, Wolves week activities and help us kick off the football season!” said McPike. “The University and football team need our help in spreading the excitement of the first ever Red Wolves football team.”

Paint the Town Red originally began in 1996 with a joint effort from the ASU Alumni Association and the Jonesboro Chamber’s ASU Committee. The two organizations wanted to promote ASU football games and Jonesboro. In 1996, Paint the Town Red activities consisted of a decorating contest and the football game.

The ASU Committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce now hosts the Paint the Town Red, Wolves activities.   Now in its twelfth year, Paint the Town Red, Wolves is a weeklong series of events to celebrate the first ASU home football game of the year.
